Small cell lung cancer(SCLC) is a distinct clinical entity with a tendency of rapid dissemination accounting for 4~25% of all lung cancers in the Korea. Recently therapeutic advances in the management of these patients have erolonged the survival
and
have increased the frequency of cnetral nervous system metastasis. We are reporting nere the case of a 61-year-old man who developed symptoms of spinal cord compression and the 9th cranial nerve mpairment caused by leptomeningeal metastasis from
SCLC
following a short duration of remission after chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
